Do I get visitation with my family?
For the first 2 weeks you are in treatment you are in the orientation phase of treatment, which means you get no visits or phone calls during that time. After your first 2 weeks of treatment you are allowed phone calls in the evening and visitation for 3 hours on the weekend, (Sunday for halfway house, Saturday for residential)

Do I get passes and when?
After the first 30 days of treatment you’re allowed one 12 hour pass, after 60 days you are allowed a 24 hour pass, after 90 days a 48 hour pass

What about medications?
Bring a current list of medications with you to MONARCH. This includes herbal and over the counter medications as well as prescription medications. You must bring your prescribed medication in the bottle(s) obtained from your Pharmacy. Medication not in a labeled bottle from a pharmacy cannot be accepted and will be returned to your home and/or destroyed. Click here to download our medication procedures and policies.

What is the difference between the residential and halfway house?
Residential is a 90 day intense treatment program for women without children. A halfway house is a 6 month program for women with children and pregnant women, after 90 days you are allowed to work.

Where do my kids go while I’m in treatment at the halfway house?
School aged children will be enrolled in school. All other children will attend day care. You are responsible for enrolling you and your child in the TANF program in order to pay for daycare. If you are ineligible for TANF or daycare assistance, you will be required to pay out of pocket for daycare.

Do I have to apply for food stamps and who receives them?
You are required to apply for food stamps when you arrive at MONARCH. Your food stamp benefits will be used by MONARCH to assist with your food cost while you are in treatment .

Are my children allowed to take a pass on the weekends?
Your children are eligible for a pass when you are eligible, unless we have a court order that indicates otherwise.

Who is responsible for my hygiene products and medication?
You are responsible for all personal hygiene items as well as your medication.

Is there an age cut off for children coming to treatment?
Yes, 11 for boys; 12 for girls. All children 4 and older will receive counseling.
