
Community Living (Halfway) Services: provide therapeutic treatment to pregnant, postpartum and women with children. This program includes a minimum of six (6) hours a week of therapeutic hours which include but not limited to the following: Grief/Loss, Anger Management, Women’s Issues, Relapse Prevention, Alcohol and Drug Education, Parenting, Domestic Violence, Sex Abuse, Relationships, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Co-Dependency, Self-Esteem, Stress Management, Communication, Trauma, GED, Job Club, Case Management, Individual and Group Therapy.
This program recommends a minimum of six (6) months and has a four-phase system that the women pace and discern their own progress. The program also includes life skills, alcoholic anonymous meetings, narcotic anonymous meetings, exercise, recreation, art therapy, nutrition, and women's health concerns. The children must also attend six (6) hours of therapeutic services or twelve (12) hours a week for school age children who are currently not in school. The program was developed to promote family unity, teach personal body safety, and enhance positive self-image and self-worth, positive school interactions and prevent alcohol and drug abuse. Pregnant women are strongly encouraged to stay through term in order to receive parental care and to return during postpartum with their infants for continued treatment.
